KEY MANAGEMENT

The Company’s veteran management team comes from a broad spectrum of industries. This group includes business continuity planning pioneers as well as seasoned executives with extensive experience in software solutions, sales and marketing, accounting, and legal disciplines.

Jack Goldman – Chairman of the Board

Jack Goldman, ChairmanMr. Goldman’s vast experience extends from entrepreneurial ventures to senior corporate officer of a NYSE listed company. Jack has been active in the Los Angeles business community as a lawyer and businessman for over 30 years. He was the founding member of The Entrepreneurship Institute’s Los Angeles Advisory Board, a non-profit organization that provides support for leaders of emerging businesses. He is a member of the California, Los Angeles County and American Bar Associations, the American Health Lawyers Association, the ABA’s Health Law Section, and the AMA’s Physicians Capital Source Advisory Committee. Jack’s management experience includes six years as a senior executive with Superscope, Inc., a Los Angeles based NYSE listed, multi-national manufacturer and distributor of Sony, Marantz and other name brand consumer audio products. He is currently an independent director of Boise, Inc., a NYSE listed manufacturer of paper and packaging products, serving on its Audit and Compensation Committees and chairing the Governance Committee. He received a JD from UCLA Law School, a BA (Chemistry) from Lafayette College and completed the Executive Management Program at the UCLA Graduate School of Business. Mr. Goldman also served as BPSi CEO from mid-2001 through 2007.

Richard Cooper, MBCI, MIOR – President and Chief Operating Officer

Richard Cooper, President & COORichard Cooper is one of the founders of Business Protection Systems International (BPSi), with over twelve years experience in the business continuity and risk management marketplace. Richard is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (MBCI), Member of the Institute of Operational Risk (MIOR) and he serves on the board of directors for the San Diego Association of Contingency Planners (ACP). As an early adopter of business-focused continuity management; Richard is committed to the alignment and integration of business continuity, disaster recovery, high availability, risk management and security into an overall risk and resiliency strategy. Richard travels extensively and has helped introduce the Business Protector suite of business continuity tools internationally to many of the world’s largest organizations and professional service providers. Prior to joining BPSi in 1998, Richard was the President of the Packing House, Inc., a California based Information and Vital Records Management Company.

Peter Wegrzyn – Chief of Technology
Peter Wegrzyn is one of the founders of BPSi and currently serves as its Chief of Technology. Peter initialized the architecture and development of Business Protector and his responsibilities have included the initial prototype and requirements for the BPSI web-based tools and database applications. Peter has 25 years of software development experience from within global organizations as well as start-ups. In addition to his considerable technical expertise, Peter has also gained a deep understanding of the risk management and business continuity industry over the last 15 years.  Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Control Engineering from the University of Westminster in London.
