About Business Protection Systems

Business Protection Systems International (BPSI) is a global provider of technology solutions for business continuity and risk management. BPSI’s Business Protector software tools have been used in business continuity planning worldwide since 1986. We pride ourselves in being able to preserve our core values and core purpose while adapting to changes in cultural and operating practices to meet specific goals and strategies of our clients.

Company Lineage

In 1986, Business Protector’s methodology began as a Word based business continuity questionnaire template from inside a large UK based financial institution.

In 1991, the Word template methodology was converted into the world’s first Windows based business continuity management program.

In 1995, Business Protection Systems was formed as a business continuity software company with a focus on financial service companies in London.

In 2000, Business Protection International (BPSI) was formed and Business Protector Gateway (BPG) was built from the ground-up. In 2003, BPSI began offering BPG as an Application Service (ASP) model.

In 2009, the release of version 5.0 of Business Protector Gateway will see the next generation of Business Continuity Management Systems utilizing the latest technologies and industry best practices.
